Introduction

The Masked Saudis is a writing club that helps support and enhance the Saudi female's creative writings. It is a club that empowers the sharing of thoughts and ideas, and improves writing skills and techniques by virtual critique of other club members.
     A Masked Saudi is tasked to write two pieces each month―in the language she prefers―followed by a book to-read that matches the genre she writes in. Reading a book per month will  make a Masked Saudi's writings and pieces more influential and effective, and to prove that Saudi females are capable of doing an amazing job in literature, no matter the language they convey their strong-voiced messages in.
   
Together, as Masked Saudis, we will move Saudi literature to an upgraded level.

    I hope you all know you're already a success in my eyes. Sending a plea to the universe that this group will continue to publish, even if it's less frequent or in other spaces. I believe in the ability and talent of all of you. No matter the published language. Your art matters and literally every written piece on this blog inspires me. Protect that fire in your soul, dear artists. Only you can keep it lit.

What a strange thing. Skin. How it can quite literally define a persons worth. So many different types of skin. Black skin, white skin, tan skin, light skin. All only a melanin pigmentation, something that seems to be so simple and basic yet has a much more complex and intricate understanding for most. It is known to have cause multiple social imbalances in time. Tattooed skin, pierced skin, oh the amount of stereotypes they place on them. Scarred skin, flawed skin. How must they fear the laughter behind them or the stares in front of them.
